Replacement DIY Repair 1st Generation Xbox console Clock, Date and Time capacitor

Replacement DIY Clock capacitor for 1st Generation Xbox console.

This repair kit includes one capacitor for Microsoft Xbox Original console to solve time/date saving issues caused by a faulty capacitor on the motherboard.

If your console asks you to re-enter the time and date settings each time you start the console, then it is highly likely that the capacitor responsible for storing this setting has failed.

This Eaton branded 2.5V 1.0F Supercapacitor is compatible with Xbox Original and is ideal for repairing motherboard versions 1 to 1.5, which contained a low-quality clock capacitor when shipped from the Microsoft factory.

A reasonable level of soldering ability is required to install the replacement capacitor and remove the old one.

The console must be opened to install. A T10, T15 & T20 Torx screwdriver is required to open the console (Not included).

A soldering iron, solder & desoldering braid are required to fit capacitors (not included).
