This will extend the 15 Pin D shaped joystick port on IBM PC and compatible computers.

The game port is a device port on IBM PC compatible and other computer systems throughout the 1980s and 1990s. It was the traditional connector for joystick input. This port is also used to interface the MPU-401 compatible MIDI interface found on many IBM compatible sound cards including the Sound Blaster sound card line from Creative Labs.

Some Bose sound systems and stereos also use this cable.
